Foot print Introduction

For my first project, I traced one of my feet to make a "footprint" of myself. I then decorated my footprint with different things that reveal or tell something about me as a person. I used both sides of my footprint and included a key, so that others who are looking at it could figure out what each of the symbols mean.

Footprint Side 1:
Symbol Key:
  1. 2 Flags: Canada and New Zealand. These are 2 countries that I visited (Canada) or lived in (New Zealand).
  2. 2 States: Michigan and South Dakota. These are 2 states that I grew up in. Michigan from birth to age 14 and South Dakota from age 14 to present.
  3. Black and white suitcase: Symbolizes my love of traveling.
  4. Archie and Betty and Veronica Comic Books: My favorite comics growing up and still today.
  5. 2 Playing Cards: Symbolize my love of playing the card game solitaire.
  6. Pots and Pans, and Kitchen Cookware: Symbolizes my love of cooking.

Footprints Side 2:

Symbol Key:
  1. 3 Different Colored Blue Lines: These represent different bodies of water that I have been to. The dark blue is for Lake Michigan. The medium blue is for the Pacific Ocean and the light blue is for the Tazman Ocean.
  2. 7 Different Colored Hearts: These represent my 7 children in order by name from oldest to youngest. Sarah (23) is the oldest, then Shelly (21), then Samantha (20), then Steven (19), then Scott (17), then Katie (10), and finally, Kiana (6) is the youngest.
  3. Rainbow: The rainbow represents my love of rainbows and also the New Zealand Greenpeace ship called the Rainbow Warrior that was blown up by the French government and is now a underwater reef in New Zealand.
